Our Pricing & Services.

Whether you are looking for a formal or traditional service, or a more contemporary ceremony where things are a bit different, choose from one of our cremation or burial options below. As with any of our services, they can be tailored to suit your requirements. The funeral service is as much for the those left behind as it is for the deceased, no fuss does not mean no memorial gathering. It is important to look after your own feelings as well as the wishes of your loved one.

Though if their wishes were to hold a No Funeral Service, or the family have had the cremation or burial elsewhere and would like to host their own gathering; please refer to our No Funeral Service & Memorial Service options.

Provision of transfer and holding of deceased only

Due to the needs of the family or another providor, we are sometimes asked to effect the local transfer of the deceased into our care at any hour of any day. This cost is $785.00 – $385.00 for the ‘transfer only’ service and $400 for the safe keeping of the deceased for the requested duration in our mortuary facilities.

These costs are included in our Standard Professional Service fee as detailed below when a Funeral Service is provided by us.

Where to Start?

There are generally four main costs:
Professional Service fee +
Cemetery or crematorium costs +
Choice of coffin & legal documentation +
Also you are able to select other optional choices.

Some of these elements may be included in the service fee, as is the Basic option, where there are more common Optional Choices are included in the Standard option.

Not sure where to start? Perhaps have a read of some Family scenarios based on both options.

Dad has passed away in the Lyell McEwin hospital and we would like to have a simple service in your Cowan street chapel because that is where Mums service was. We don’t want to have memorial cards, Photo presentation or flowers, dad said unless you could eat it, it was a waste. He wasn’t religious so we would like a celebrant to conduct the service. Dad liked a beer so my brother has organised to go after the service  to the local hotel to raise a glass for him.

Total $5,849.90

*Possible late payment fee of $ 440.00 applies if account not paid within 14 days. (Total $6,289.90)

People are travelling from all over, so after the service so can we have a cup of tea afterwards for about 40 people. we’d like some time to catch up. My father has passed away at hospital, we would like to have a cremation service in our church and led by our minister. He was a simple man who worked on the family farm all his life. The minister said the church will look after the catering and the music but are you able to print 100 memorial cards? We are expecting about 120 people and would like to include the order of service and some photos inside the card. We would also like to have donation envelopes at the service for Cancer Council SA. Dad was a traditional man and, while an expensive casket is not him, we would like a mid-range coffin. An organist will play pre-service, accompany the hymns and also at the recessional. Flowers are important and so we are going to put together a large beautiful and bright bunch made with a combination of pieces picked from our collective gardens. Refreshments will be supplied by the church in the adjoining hall.

Total:    $7,503.10

*Possible late payment fee of $ 440.00 applies if account not paid within 30 days. (Total $7,943.10

Dad died at home last Friday night. We would like to hold a service in the car club rooms where he used to go for his club meetings, then go to the cemetery with all the car club members following the hearse in their vintage cars. We have a small family but he has a lot of friends and work colleagues, so we are expecting over 100 people. He wasn’t particularly religious, but really wanted Amazing Grace to be played at the service by a piper. Can we also have a photo presentation with 100 bookmark cards and a book for every one to sign.  During the service and at the cemetery we’d like the piper to play traditional Scottish songs.  Afterwards, we would then like to go back to your lounge for a light afternoon tea.

Dad has passed away at home this morning at 4.00am, we would like a small service in your Cowan street chapel with a staff member to officiate the service for us. Dad was in the military and we would like to show his medals and to have the last post played to honour his service. Can we place a notice in the paper to let his friends know that he has passed away? Also we would like to have a memorial book but we would like to make our own memorial cards. After the service we will be going to the RSL for refreshments.  My brother would like to view the cremation if that’s possible.

Total $7,236.90

My mother-in-law has passed away in the Nursing Home on Saturday and we’d like to meet with you on Sunday. She has a lot of  friends from the CWA and so we would like to have a service in the Adelaide Road Chapel. She also has family in England so can we stream the service to them to watch?

We would also prefer to have a celebrant to conduct the service and are expecting over 200 people. So perhaps 200 memorial cards and a DVD photo presentation.  Mum liked  music can you provided 3 songs for us?  Afterwards can we have more than just a coffee and biscuits, like catering for sandwiches, pies and pasties? (Suggested catering package B at $9 per person)
